A three-phase, 50 Hz oil-immersed distribution transformer fitted with an off-load tap changer for stepping medium voltage (33 kV, 11 kV or 6.6 kV) down to a 400/230 V supply. Available in hermetically sealed and conservator constructions across a 50 kVA to 4000 kVA range. Tap selection is performed de-energised, suiting networks where voltage is set infrequently.
